"I urge all parties to work together to find a way out of the impasse in which Georgia now finds itself, in order to continue its democratic consolidation," EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Joseph Borrell said after an informal video conference of EU foreign ministers.

"During the meeting we talked about Georgia as well. A new proposal has been put forward on behalf of President Charles Michel to find a way out of the political crisis. We received information during the meeting, and I welcome the positive signs that the Georgian Dream is ready for an agreement. We hope that other parties will also act to reach an agreement.

I call on all parties to find compromise ways to overcome the impasse in which Georgia now finds itself, in order to continue its democratic consolidation. We hope to hear good news by the end of the day," said Joseph Borrell.
