247 recruits took the military oath at the ceremony dedicated to the Independence Day of Georgia.

The oath-taking ceremony was held in parallel with Tbilisi at 5 more locations: Svaneti, Adjara, Samtskhe-Javakheti, Kakheti and Mtskheta.

The memory of General Giorgi Kvinitadze was honored with a minute of silence before the oath-taking ceremony. General Giorgi Kvinitadze will be interred today in Mtatsminda Pantheon of Writers and Public Figures with military honors.

The events dedicated to the Independence Day continue in Freedom Square.

Due to coronavirus prevention and safety reasons, no public walks are held on Freedom Square and Rustaveli Avenue.
