The family and relatives of Zaza Gakheladze, who was illegally detained by the occupation forces, will hold a protest rally in the village of Kvemo Chala today. They demand the release of Zaza Gakheladze.

Gakheladze's father says that he will try to move to the occupied territories on his son's birthday in order to be able to meet him in this way.

At the same time, according to Zaza Gakheladze's wife, Irma Butkhuzi, she received information from the clergy that the Georgian Patriarch Ilia II had written to the Russian Patriarch to intercede for the release of his husband.

For the record, 33-year-old Zaza Gakheladze was detained by the representatives of the occupation forces on July 11, 2020 at the occupation line. Gakheladze is accused of illegally crossing the so-called border and opening fire on "borderguards". Zaza Gakheladze was wounded during the illegal detention.
