Guria Governor Giorgi Sakhokia has resigned. As InterpressNews was told in the press service of the governor, Sakhokia’s resignation is related to his appointment to another position.

"Giorgi Sakhokia is being appointed to another position, which will be made public on Monday, after he meets with Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili," the press service said.

Giorgi Sakhokia was appointed Governor of Guria in February 2021, when Giorgi Gakharia was the Prime Minister of Georgia.
