The decision to impose additional restrictions was made due to the deteriorating epidemiological situation in the region.

Theaters, museums, libraries, cultural centers, houses of culture, concert and exhibition halls and ensembles will stop operation from July 12.

Earlier, Aslan Bzhania, the de facto leader of occupied Abkhazia, signed a so-called order tightening measures against the pandemic, banning weddings, ceremonies, celebrations and other mass events in the region from July 5 and closing food facilities.
