EU Heads of Mission: We note with alarm the desecration of the flag of the Council of Europe/European Union outside of the Georgian parliament

We note with alarm the desecration of the flag of the Council of Europe/European Union outside of the Georgian parliament, - reads a letter released by EU Heads of Mission addressing the Government of Georgia on the Pride related events of 5 July and their follow-up.

According to the ambassadors, the attacks on the flag on two occasions are also direct attacks on Georgia’s democratic and pro-European aspirations.
