US President Joe Biden has nominated former US Ambassador to Georgia John Bass for the position of US Under Secretary of State for Management.

John Bass, currently a Senior Advisor at the Department of State’s Foreign Service Institute, has served as US Ambassador to Georgia, Afghanistan, and Turkey at various times. He has served in seven U.S. missions abroad and held senior positions in the Department of State.
