Andrei Rudenko: We hope that the Georgian government has learned a lesson and after the stabilization of epidemic situation, it will be possible to discuss the resumption of air traffic

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko hopes that the issue of resumption of air traffic between Georgia and Russia will be on the agenda after the coronavirus situation stabilizes. Rudenko stated about it in an interview with "Россия сегодня", in response to a question whether there is a discussion about the resumption of flights with Georgia in the near future.

"The ban imposed on Russian airlines for air transportation of citizens from the territory of the Russian Federation to the territory of Georgia in July 2019 was a necessary measure caused by a well-known anti-Russian provocation. We believe that this measure is temporary.

We hope that the Georgian government has learned a lesson from this and that after the stabilization of the sanitary-epidemiological situation related to the spread of coronavirus infection, it will be possible to return to the issue of resumption of air traffic", - Rudenko said.
