About 32 billion GEL will be spent on infrastructure and regional development over the next 10 years, - the Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili said at the presentation of the 10-year development plan of the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure. According to him, 32 billion GEL would be spent on infrastructure, roads, bridges, water to change the whole picture in all municipalities. The Prime Minister noted that this should be a plan for Europeanization and modernization.

Irakli Gharibashvili thanked the donors for their active assistance.

"We continue to present development plans. Today we present the 10-year development plan for infrastructure and regions. I would like to briefly touch on once again what these mentioned plans of ours imply. According to our plan, about 32 billion GEL will be spent on infrastructure development as well as regional development over the next 10 years. As you know, many projects are being implemented in the country today. This is the construction of roads, bridges. In general, we have started urban renewal projects in all municipalities. An urban renewal project will be launched in all 63 municipalities, which means bringing European development, European spirit to all municipalities. In addition, you know that challenges remain in our country today. Nearly 3,000 villages do not have quality water. The maintenance-rehabilitation-restoration of both intercity and inland roads, as well as the completion of the construction of central highways remain a challenge, therefore, our main priority and main focus will be on the development and renewal of the regions in the coming years. 32 billion GEL, as you know, will be spent on the development of regions, infrastructure, roads, bridges, water in order to change the whole picture in virtually all municipalities, across the country, and in fact, this should be a plan for Europeanization, renewal, modernization. I would also like to mention that of course we actively cooperate with our donors. I want to take this opportunity once again and thank them for their active assistance", - Irakli Gharibashvili said.
