Giorgi Vashadze: Gomelauri should act now, protect the police dignity and issue a fine of 4500 GEL or demand 15 days of administrative detention for Tea Tsulukiani

Gomelauri should act now, protect the police dignity and issue a fine of 4500 GEL or demand the court 15 days of administrative detention for Tea Tsulukiani, - Giorgi Vashadze, the leader of the Strategy Builder, told reporters, responding to Tsulukiani's statement in which she referred to the police as "some people".

As he noted, the government fines the protesters 4,500 GEL while using violence against journalists.

Vashadze assessed the fact of yesterday when Tsulukiani took the microphone from the journalist as violence.

"The fact is disgusting, immoral and has gone beyond any norms and principles. If she has no answer to the question, she starts being aggressive, all the Dream MPs are doing the same. Today we talked about fines, Georgian Dream raised the fine to 4500 GEL for citizens who want to express protest, while they themselves use violence against journalists on live TV and say that they take care of the police dignity when they increase the fine", - Vashadze said.

For reference, the Minister of Culture of Georgia, Vice Prime Minister Tea Tsulukiani, who was present at the opening of the theater in Senaki, took the microphone of the journalist of the Mtavari TV Ema Gogokhia and said that she would not return it. The journalist called the patrol police on the spot.

The minister later said in a speech on the theater stage that she would return the microphone on October 3rd.

"I will return this microphone on the morning of October 3, when they will be thrown where they belong forever, when the force that still wrestles with its own people will be defeated. They called some people here in vain", - Tea Tsulukiani said.
