I want to thank the President of the United States, Mr. Joe Biden, the American government, and the American people for their assistance. Half a million doses of the Pfizer vaccine are in Georgia today”, - Prime Minister Irakli Gharibashvili said at the Tbilisi International Airport, where he attended the delivery of 500,000 doses of Pfizer from the United States to Georgia.

The Prime Minister called on the population to be actively involved in the vaccination campaign to protect the health of themselves and their loved ones.

"We have to start the vaccination process now, we are fully prepared to start active communication with population, an active campaign. It is necessary to expand the vaccination process and we are fully prepared for it. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the US Government for its assistance that the United States provided to Georgia earlier, during, and after the Covid pandemic, and for the specific assistance it is providing now by delivering the Pfizer vaccine. I would like to point out that we have purchased 1 million doses of Pfizer directly from suppliers, from the Pfizer company, which will arrive in Georgia soon.

Once again, I want to appeal to our people to join this campaign and protect everyone. Let us protect our lives, our health, the health of our friends, parents, relatives. I thank Joe Biden, I thank America," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
