The Prosecutor’s Office charged another person, G.G., of persecuting TV Pirveli cameraman Lekso Lashkarava because of his journalistic activity, illegally interfering in his professional activity with intolerance motive on discrimination grounds, and participating in a group violent act motivated by intolerance during the protest against Tbilisi Pride on July 5. According to them, the investigation carried out by the Ministry of Internal Affairs established that on July 5, 2021, during the rally against Tbilisi Pride, G.G., a participant in organized violence, motivated by intolerance with the purpose of interfering in his journalistic activity, attacked Lekso Lashkarava, the cameraman of TV Pirveli. The accused motivated by interfering in his professional activity, physically and verbally assaulting him, forced the cameraman to stop executing his professional activity in order to prevent the media representative from recording and spreading the aggressive actions of the accused.
