National Forensics Bureau denies information that body of cameraman Lekso Lashkarava was brought to bureau an hour and 15 minutes late

The Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau has released a statement about the TV story aired by the Main Channel regarding the body of deceased cameraman, Lekso Lashkarava. The bureau alleges that information that the deceased was brought to the bureau an hour and 15 minutes late is not true.

According to the statement, Lashkarava's body was placed in a specialized vehicle at about 11:00 and was taken to the bureau in a few minutes, at 11:18, which can be proved by the camera recordings and the relevant protocol.

“On July 11, a number of journalists who covered the case of the deceased cameraman were informed about this fact through active communication with the Press Center of the Bureau.

It is unfortunate that incorrect information was spread by the Post Factum journalist, which is insulting and damaging to the activities of the bureau and the experts employed here.

LEPL Levan Samkharauli National Forensics Bureau once again expresses its deep sorrow over the death of cameraman Lekso Lashkarava and extends its condolences to the family,” reads the issued by the bureau.
