Mestia City Hall: A flood caused by heavy rains completely or partially destroyed the village roads, as well as part of the central road and power transmission lines

According to the Mestia City Hall, as a result of heavy rains, the overflowing river completely or partially destroyed both the village roads, as well as part of the central road and power transmission lines.

Several sections of the road leading to the village of Adishi have been completely destroyed, leaving the village isolated from the outside world and making movement impossible. Electricity is not supplied to the population of Adishi, Ifari, Kala and Ushguli villages.

At the 165th kilometer of the Zugdidi-Jvari-Mestia-Lasdili highway, on the Kala-Ifari section, the Enguri River washed away the left pier of the bridge, due to which all types of traffic was banned on the section.

According to the Mestia City Hall, the overflowing river in Ushguli poses a threat to the local population and buildings.

In the village of Mulakhi, the stream in the gorge of "Kerash" overflowed. Heavy equipment is working on the spot and at this time traffic is possible on this section of the road.

The road and agricultural lands were damaged in the village of Becho.

In the village of Ifari, the Lasilura River completely divided the access road to the village lands. Locals are unable to move to summer pastures where cattle are left behind.

Internal roads and bridges of the village were damaged in Tskhumari administrative unit, cleaning works are underway.

Rural roads and agricultural land were damaged in the administrative unit of Lanjeri.

According to Mestia City Hall, the damage is being examined and the elimination works are underway.
