Tamar Kordzaia boycotts parliamentary activities

Opposition MP Tamar Kordzaia boycotts parliamentary activities.

As she told InterPressNews, it is impossible to cooperate with the Georgian Dream, which is leading the country to a declared Russian course.

"I signed this agreement because the Western course is important. Many points may not have been acceptable, but the agreement was Western-led. And now the force that was supposed to enforce this agreement declares it annulled, they are not interested in the West, they are not interested in the Western assessments, so parliamentary cooperation with them is impossible. "Georgian Dream" has crossed the rubicon. Until they step back, it is impossible to cooperate with them and everyone who has signed the document should be offended. Another issue - when we signed the document, at that time we were the opposition and now it turns out that we have become only 10%?! I will not assist the double standards of the Georgian Dream by entering the sessions of the Parliament and asking critical questions. Consequently, communicating with them in a parliamentary format makes no sense. We must defeat them through elections and force them to call early elections", - Tamar Kordzaia said.

For information, Zurab Girchi Japaridze and Nika Melia, the chairman of the National Movement, have already stepped down from parliament. According to Melia, he will be fully involved in the election process together with Elene Khoshtaria, "in order to make the defeat of the Georgian Dream official in the October referendum." The "National Movement" will continue its parliamentary activities.
