Georgia reports 4,233 new cases of coronavirus, 38 deaths

According to stopcov.ge, as part of the intensive testing, 45,229 tests were conducted across the country in the last 24 hours, including 26,469 antigen tests and 18,760 PCR tests.

As a result of the testing, 4,233 new cases of the virus were detected in the last 24 hours. The total number of confirmed cases since the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic in the country amounts to 432,903.

As of August 3, the daily positive rate is 9.36%, for the last 14 days - 7.65% and for 7 days - 8.35%.

In the last 24 hours, 1,934 people recovered from the virus, bringing the total to 390,827. 38 new deaths from coronavirus were reported in the last 24 hours. Since the spread of the pandemic, the virus has claimed the life of a total of 5,948 people.

Out of 4,233 new cases of infection detected in the country today: 1,924 cases were reported in Tbilisi, Adjara - 591, Imereti - 518, Kvemo Kartli - 200, Shida Kartli - 185, Guria - 107, Samegrelo - Zemo Svaneti - 222, Kakheti - 270, Mtskheta- Mtianeti-92, Samtskhe-Javakheti - 97, Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti - 27.
