Olympic champion Zurab Zviadauri has been arrested in connection with the murder of three people in Tsinandali. He is charged with premeditated murder.

In connection with the same fact, the law enforcers charged J.J., born in 1977, with negligent possession of a firearm, which resulted in the loss of human life.

"At this stage of the investigation, it has been established that on August 16 of this year, in the vicinity of the village of Tsinandali, Telavi Municipality, the quarrel between several people turned into a physical confrontation. During the confrontation, V.C., born in 1971, opened fire from a firearm registered in the name of J.J., who is currently detained, which was responded by shooting by N.K, born in 1994.

As a result of the shooting carried out by N.K., four persons were wounded, two of which died on the spot.

The investigation also established that during the confrontation, Z.Z., arrested as a defendant, also fired from a firearm, during which N.K., born in 1994, was fatally wounded”, reads the statement of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
