They used the institute of the Public Defender and Ms. Nino came up with an initiative today to declare a state of emergency in order to postpone the elections, - Prime Minister of Georgia Irakli Gharibashvili said during the nomination of a Mestia mayoral candidate.

According to him, postponing elections is a plan developed by the National Movement and the ruling team will not be deceived by this provocation.

"Elections will be held and the Georgian Dream will win. We have seen the experience of all countries. During the pandemic, even when the vaccine had not yet arrived, no one even thought of postponing the election. The only dictator, whose name I will not name, canceled elections. If the National Movement and Saakashvili offer us this, we will not be surprised," Gharibashvili said.

The Prime Minister called on the public to continue the peaceful development smoothly. He said people need calm and stability.

"In the October 2020 elections, our team won convincingly. More than a million voters supported us and gave us a mandate, which we will definitely protect and implement by 2024," Irakli Gharibashvili said.
