Global cases of coronavirus surpass 216 million, killing over 4.5 million people

The total number of people infected with coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic in the world has exceeded 216 million, according to worldometers.

According to the same statistics, Covid 19 has killed more than 4.5 million people worldwide to date. The number of recovered people is 193 million.

There are currently more than 18.5 million active cases of infection worldwide. The highest number of coronavirus infections - 39.5 million cases - has been confirmed in the United States, which is followed by India with 32.6 million cases, Brazil, Russia and France.
