Taliban states they have seized part of Kabul airport. According to a Taliban spokesman, on August 28, control of one of the entrances to the airport was transferred from the US military to the Taliban.

The Taliban spokesman said that the US military had left three key areas of Kabul airport, it is under Taliban control and the Americans now control only a very small part.

"Deutsche Welle" writes that the Pentagon does not confirm this information. They say access to the airport area and its operation is still in the hands of the US military.
