If Georgia is ready to live normally with Russia as its neighbor, Moscow is ready to restore relations, - Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said, according to media reports.
"If Georgia does not really want to play the Russian card to maintain Western protection, but wants to live a normal life with us as neighbors, we are ready for that at any time", - Lavrov said.
Lavrov also recalled the meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Orthodox Assembly in Tbilisi and the events that took place.
"We intended to respond to our Georgian neighbor when they introduced a visa-free regime for our citizens. At first, we were watching what was happening and, of course, we did not forbid anyone to enter Georgia. About a year and a half ago we were even ready to introduce a visa-free regime for Georgian citizens, but there was an unpleasant incident, a gross provocation against the Russian parliamentary delegation at the sitting of the Inter-Orthodox Orthodox Assembly in Tbilisi", - the Russian Foreign Minister said.
