Russian president promises de facto leader of Abkhazian to continue to help Abkhazians

Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulates so-called President of Abkhazia Aslan Bzhania on "Victory and Independence Day".

"Receive my heartfelt congratulations on the national holiday of Abkhazia - Victory and Independence Day. The relationship between our states is developing in the spirit of alliance and strategic partnership. I am convinced that through joint efforts we will continue to strengthen bilateral cooperation in all areas," said Vladimir Putin in a congratulatory letter issued by the so-called presidential press service.

The Russian president promises the de facto leader that Russia will continue to help Abkhazians.

"Russia will continue to provide all possible assistance to its Abkhazian friends in resolving current economic and social challenges, as well as in ensuring national security," Putin wrote.
