State Security Service says Russian occupation forces illegally detained two Georgian citizens near occupied village of Lopani

Russian occupation forces have illegally detained two Georgian citizens near the occupied village of Lopani.

According to the State Security Service, the hotline has been activated and information on another illegal action by the Russian occupation forces was immediately communicated to the EUMM and international partners.

"The illegal detentions carried out by the occupation regime are a destructive act aimed at intimidating the local population and significantly complicating the security environment on the ground.

The central government of Georgia is using all means to release the illegally detained persons as soon as possible," reads the statement.
