Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sends official note to Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia relating to Mikheil Saakashvili

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine is disappointed with the transfer of Mikheil Saakashvili, a citizen of Ukraine, to Gldani Penitentiary Establishment no 18, about which the Ukrainian side has less information, - reads the statement of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, which is related to the transfer of a Ukrainian citizen, former President of Georgia Mikheil Saakashvili to the Gldani Establishment no 18.

"We call on the Georgian side to immediately transfer Mikheil Saakashvili to a civil medical facility, which will have all the necessary means to provide proper medical and emergency care.

Today, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine sent an official note on this issue to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.

The further stay of Mikheil Saakashvili, a citizen of Ukraine, in the penitentiary institution creates additional risks and tensions, which can be avoided due to humanitarian considerations.
