The process of interviewing the candidates for the Supreme Court to be completed today in the Parliament

The process of interviewing the candidates for the Supreme Court in the Parliament will end today.

The Committee on Legal Affairs will listen to Nino Sandodze and Tea Dzimistarashvili, nominated by the High Council of Justice for election as judges of the Supreme Court.

According to the chairman of the committee Anri Okhanashvili, the process is unprecedented in the history of Georgia, because until 2019 there was no such transparent form of election of Supreme Court judges.

The process of interviewing four candidates for the Supreme Court in Parliament began on November 25.

Two candidates - Genadi Makaridze and Tamar Okropiridze - were heard in the Committee on Legal Affairs.

According to Anri Okhanashvili, after the interview process, it will be decided when it will be expedient to vote.
