Jens Stoltenberg: Georgia and Ukraine are close and valuable partners of NATO

Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg outlined the priorities for the upcoming meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers in Riga, Latvia on 30 November and 1 December.
Ministers will discuss the situation in the region with NATO’s close and valuable partners Georgia and Ukraine.
"I look forward to meeting with the Foreign Ministers of Georgia and Ukraine in Riga next week. Both countries are very valuable partners of NATO. We are working closely with them and expanding cooperation, and we welcome both Georgia and Ukraine's contribution to NATO," he said.
NATO Foreign Ministers will also address the situation on the border with Belarus and the Lukashenko regime’s exploitation of vulnerable people to put pressure on Allies Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania.
Jens Stoltenberg also stressed that reforms are important because they help bring Georgia closer to NATO membership and make both aspirants strong.
“When we see Russia's actions, it is especially important to have resilient, strong societies shaped by firm reforms. It is also a way to strengthen the security of Ukraine and Georgia," Stoltenberg said.
