Sergey Lavrov. At the meeting with Antony Blinken we reiterated our demand to stop NATO enlargement

According to Sergey Lavrov, at today's meeting with US Secretary of State Antony Blinken, the Russian side reiterated its demand to stop NATO enlargement.
"As for our principled approach relating to NATO's eastward expansion, we have, of course, reiterated our position," Lavrov said after talks with Blinken.
He said NATO was working against the Russian Federation, so Moscow opposed the bloc's eastward expansion.
"This bloc was created against the USSR, and now it is working against the Russian Federation," Lavrov said and added that the above explained Moscow's position that NATO expansion to the east should not take place.
According to the Russian Foreign Minister, Anthony Blinken said at the meeting that the United States will submit written responses to Russia's proposals on "security guarantees" next week.
