Evacuation of tourists from Mitarbi ropeway completed
In Bakuriani, the evacuation of tourists from the Mitarbi ropeway has been completed.
As InterpressNews was informed by the Mountain Resorts Development Company, rescuers evacuated 25 people from the ropeway.
"Due to the voltage drop, the Mitarbi ski lift was temporarily switched off. From the moment of shutdown, all rescue workers were mobilized on the spot to ensure the safe evacuation of tourists.
The rescue operation was completed successfully," the company said in a statement.
The Mitarbi ski lift was halted for almost an hour in Bakuriani.
