Former mayor of Tianeti and former MP Tamaz Mechiauri passed away. Information was confirmed to InterPressNews at the First University Clinic, where Tamaz Mechiauri was getting treatment.

As Lali Turdziladze, the clinical director of the University Clinic, noted, Mechiauri was suffering from severe respiratory failure. He passed away this morning.

Tamaz Mechiauri was transferred to the clinic about 2 weeks ago with further coronavirus complications.
