"Our desire is not to allow war in Ukraine, but the tendency is very bad and we can get irreversible negative processes," Irakli Kobakhidze, chairman of the Georgian Dream, told reporters.
When asked by a journalist of whether President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky meant Georgia in his statement, when he said he was grateful to certain countries for their declarations and assistance, but would not name friendly countries not to make some countries ashamed, Kobakhodze said that Georgia was one of the rare exceptions that expressed solidarity with Ukraine at the level of a parliamentary resolution.
"Georgia is one of the rare exceptions that has expressed its support and solidarity with our friendly Ukrainian people at the level of the parliamentary resolution. Our position in this regard is, of course, clear. Solidarity with the Ukrainian people is very clear and our desire is not to allow war in Ukraine, but the tendency is very bad and we can get irreversible negative processes.
We are, of course, observing developments and we will have our political reaction accordingly," Irakli Kobakhidze said.
