Mamuka Mdinaradze: We have stated a clear position that we will not join sanctions - no matter what type of hints there might be, no matter from whom, even if they were our friends, we will not do anything that will only harm our country

We have stated a clear position that we will not join sanctions, we are not joining, we will not impose them for the sole motive - we believe that sanctions will only harm Georgia and not the one who can be the subject of these sanctions, Mamuka Mdinaradze, chairman of the Georgian Dream faction, told reporters.

According to him, Georgia has occupied territories and special risks, so he is sure that "there will be no problems from partners just because they are insuring risks well."

"As for sanctions, we are not even going to go into depth here as well, so as not to make one or the other issue controversial. We have stated a clear position that we will not join sanctions. We are not joining, we will not impose them for the sole motive - we believe that sanctions will only harm Georgia and not the one who can be the subject of these sanctions, including from Georgia's part. This is the basis of our decision, no matter what type of hints there might be, no matter from whom, even if they were our friends. We talk a lot with the representatives of the partner countries about this, we will not do anything that will only harm our country," Mdinaradze said.

As for humanitarian assistance, including support in international organizations, he said that Georgia stands by Ukraine and this is their unshakable position.
