Boris Johnson: The end of freedom in Ukraine will mean the extinction of any hope of freedom in Georgia and Moldova

The west must not make the mistake of “normalising” relations with Vladimir Putin again after the invasion of Ukraine, Boris Johnson said and warned that allowing Russia to win would be the beginning of new age of intimidation from the Baltic to the Black Sea.
According to the Guardian, the prime minister described the Kremlin’s actions “a vicious and a barbarian attack on innocent civilians, the likes of which we haven’t seen since the 1940s”.
He warned that if Russia were to succeed in Ukraine then it would be the end of freedom in Ukraine, which would mean the extinction of any hope of freedom in Moldova and Georgia. He warned: “The end of freedom in Ukraine will mean the extinction of any hope of freedom in Georgia and Moldova, it will be the beginning of a new age of intimidation across the whole of eastern Europe, from the Baltics to the Black Sea, and a green light for autocrats everywhere.”
