Dmitry Peskov: Kremlin will respect the results of the referendum in South Ossetia on joining Russia

The Kremlin will respect the results of the referendum in South Ossetia on the issue of joining Russia, said the spokesman for the Russian President, Dmitry Peskov. The information is spread by the Russian state media.
Peskov also noted that Moscow has not yet taken legal steps in this regard.
"We are talking about the expression of the will of the people of South Ossetia and we respect that. I can not take a position, we have not yet taken legal or other steps," Peskov said.
For the record, yesterday, March 30, the so-called president of occupied Tskhinvali region, Anatoly Bibilov, voiced the initiative for the so-called South Ossetia to join Russian Federation. He noted that "the leadership of the republic should ask its people about their opinion in this regard."
According to Bibilov, organizing a referendum in the republic is "not so difficult" and its implementation "should not take time."
