Aslan Bzhania says he welcomes the aspirations of the people of occupied "South Ossetia"

Aslan Bzhania, the de facto leader of occupied Abkhazia, welcomes the aspiration of the people of so-called South Ossetia to "join North Ossetia as part of Russia". Bzhania says he is convinced that this step is in the interests of "South Ossetia" as a whole. Sputnik-Abkhazia reports about it.

At the same time, Bzhania stressed the position of occupied Abkhazia towards Russia.

"A sovereign, independent Abkhazia is continuing to develop relations with its brotherly Russia in strict compliance with the November 24, 2014 agreement," Bzhania said.

According to Bzhania, the agreement with Russia envisages the development of a coordinated foreign policy; creating a common space for defense and security; formation of a unified economic and social space; promoting the socio-economic development of occupied Abkhazia; creating conditions for occupied Abkhazia's full participation in the integration processes in the post-Soviet space, which will be realized with the initiative and assistance of Russia.
