Armenia to pay for Russian gas in rubles

From now on, Armenia will pay for Russian gas in rubles, Armenian Economy Minister Vahan Kerobyan said.

At the same time, the representative of Gazprom Sergey Kuprianov confirmed that the agreement with Yerevan allows them to pay for gas in rubles, and Armenia is using this opportunity.

It should be noted that Russian President Vladimir Putin's order on mandatory payment of natural gas tariffs in Russian currency applied only to "unfriendly countries" to which Armenia does not belong.
