One person has been killed while performing his duty in Itkhvisi mine.
According to the Georgian Manganese, the scene is being examined by the State Labor Inspector and trade unions.
The company expresses its deep sorrow over the death of the employee of the Itkhvisi mine.
“An investigation is ongoing. The company is actively involved in the process and cooperates with the investigation. It is in our interest that the investigation work smoothly to determine the objective circumstances of what happened.
Georgian Manganese once again expresses its deepest condolences over the incident and extends its sympathy to the family and friends of the deceased," the reads statement.
