Irakli Kobakhidze: Nika Gvaramia was especially rude to the President - If Salome Zurabishvili makes a decision to pardon him in such conditions, it will turn out that she does not protect the institution of the President

Nika Gvaramia was especially rude to the President. If Salome Zurabishvili makes a decision to pardon him in such conditions, it turns out that she does not protect the institution of the President, Irakli Kobakhidze, Chairman of the Georgian Dream, said.

As Kobakhidze explained, using obscene words against the institution of the President is not allowed, as state institutions will thus collapse.

"As for pardon, it is the exclusive prerogative of the President. I can just say one thing, Gvaramia was especially rude to the President. He was not only insulting, but he used obscene words against the President. When Gvaramia uses obscene words against the President, it is not directed against Salome Zurabishvili, but against the institution of the President. If Salome Zurabishvili makes a decision to pardon him in such conditions, it will turn out that she does not protect the institution of the President. It would be very easy for me as an ordinary citizen to notice this and I am sure the President will not do it. Of course, the President must take care of the institution of the President. I will repeat once again that using obscene words against the President is directed not against Salome Zurabishvili but against the institution of the President and it is simply not allowed, as in this case, our state institutions will collapse. Those who use obscene words against the institution of the President, naturally, cannot be pardoned," said Kobakhidze.
