Ilia II to Georgian diaspora: Try not to tarnish the name of Georgia, those trying to establish themselves in a wrong way commit a big crime

“Try in every way not to tarnish the name of Georgia. Those trying to establish themselves in a wrong way commit a big crime, because they hurt both themselves and their homeland,” Catholicos-Patriarch of All Georgia Ilia II says in his address to the representatives of the Georgian diaspora abroad.

According to the Patriarch, each representative of the diaspora represents our country with an ancient, unique culture and history.

"I want to thank you for the work you do to help your families, relatives and loved ones here. I have said many times and I will repeat it again and again that each of you represents our country with an ancient, unique culture and history. Try in every way not to tarnish the name of Georgia. Those trying to establish themselves in a wrong way commit a big crime, because they hurt both themselves and their homeland. Be worthy ambassadors of our country in the country of your current presence,” said Ilia II.
