Carl Hartzell: Help us, so that we can help you!

EU Ambassador to Georgia Carl Hartzell says he expects that the Commission's Opinion on the candidate status of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine will be ready in the coming days, probably next week, after which discussions between member states will be held and a decision will be made within a month.

Hartzell said he doesn't want to speculated, but whatever the EU Council decision on Georgia's status, there is one thing that remains unchanged - it is time for Georgia to work on this issue. As Hartzell noted, it is time to ensure that Georgia seriously and sustainably implements what is needed for country's accession to the European Union.

According to him, the EU will continue to support Georgia. He noted that the EU believes in friendship and partnership with Georgia and wants Georgia to establish its place in Europe and the world.

Help us, so that we can help you, said the Ambassador.
