Grigol Vashadze: Never ask anything to a person who says that the EU candidate status brings nothing to the state

"Never ask anything to a person who says that the EU candidate status brings nothing to the state – not to mention other things, the EU candidate status means access to the huge financial resources available in the EU," MP Grigol Vashadze told journalists.

According to Vashadze, in the best case, Georgia will receive the Albanian version of the status.

"If the European Union looks at the citizens of Georgia and our nation, then we must receive this status. If they consider that Georgia does not deserve any European perspective under this Government, then they will reject us. I will tell you my expectations - in the best case, we will get the Albanian version, meaning that they will send us a list and tell us – those things need to be done, if you really want to return to the European family, as you have been saying for so many years," said Grigol Vashadze.
