President of Romania: Georgia, Ukraine and Moldova should be granted EU candidate status as soon as possible

According to the President of Romania, Klaus Iohannis, the position of Romania regarding the accession of Ukraine, the Republic of Moldova and Georgia to the European Union is that the candidate status should be granted to all three countries as soon as possible.

"In my opinion, the status of a candidate should be granted as soon as possible, it is the right solution morally, economically and in terms of security," said Iohannis.

Iohannis said the decision is expected to be made by the end of this month.
