Despite my respect for Tea Katukia, I will tell you that she was not suitable for her position and that is why she was recalled - Katukia was not a career representative of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, she was a friend of Salome Zurabishvili and was appointed to the position of Ambassador to France by her decision, says Georgian Dream MP Irakli Zarkua.

According to Zarkua, "it turned out that Katukia did not have the skills, vision and experience on the path of European integration".

"In the Embassy, ​​in the team, she probably had some alienation and was recalled. The fact that incompetent personnel should not be appointed to important positions is why we appealed to the Constitutional Court with a lawsuit to distinguish the competencies - who has the right to what," said Irakli Zarkua.

For information, Georgia's Ambassador to France Tea Katukia resigned today and cited "constant pressure from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs" as the reason. According to her, she had "to perform the function in the context of constant abuse, slander, pressure, harassment and threats, which originates from deep-rooted clan and clientelistic practices in the system."
