Gogashvili's arrest is a personal decision of Ivanishvili and it is a message to all people that if they speak up, they will be treated the same way, National Movement MP Giorgi Botkoveli told reporters.

According to him, Gogashvili was arrested after the system had been endangered.

"Gogashvili was a part of the system that destroys democracy in this country and wiretaps and oppresses every citizen. He himself admits that he feels guilty about what he was going to talk about. Ivanishvili did not arrest him when the Machalikashvili family requested it, when Vakha Machalikashvili was talking about specific facts. They arrested him after the system had been endangered. Of course, this is Ivanishvili's personal decision and it is a message to all people that if they speak up, they will be treated the same way. This is a message to the judges as well. If the judge of the Gvaramia case, Chkhikvadze had not published the letter, by which he insulted both the US ambassador and our partner country as a whole, we would probably have seen a special forces squad at his house the next morning. This is Ivanishvili's management style, he has dragged the people around him - ministers, representatives of the majority - into the criminal vortex and he tells them - I can drag you out of your house with special forces anytime," Botkoveli said.
