Vato Tsereteli, the founder of Pirveli TV, requests the questioning of the Prosecutor General, Irakli Shotadze, in connection with the confrontation on the territory of the US Embassy.
Tsereteli told journalists about this after leaving the General Prosecutor's Office.
As Tsereteli mentioned, Irakli Shotadze was an alleged eyewitness on the territory of the US Embassy, where the confrontation between him and the majority deputies took place.
"As I heard, Anri Okhanashvili also submitted a statement to the Prosecutor's Office. The case is merged and I was questioned within the scope of this merged case.
As far as I know, I was the first one who was interrogated, neither Okhanashvili, nor Zarkua, Mgaloblishvili and Odisharia were interrogated. My companions have also not been questioned," Tsereteli said.
In addition, Tsereteli states that before this incident he did not know either Zarkua, Mgaloblishvili or Anri Okhanashvili.
"If they accused me of beating Mgaloblishvili, it's the same when they accused Gigi Ugulava of beating a judoka. As I know Mgaloblishvili was a basketball player, how can you blame me for physically assaulting a basketball player?!" Tsereteli said and added: "This issue cannot be put on the shelf, I promise the Prosecutor's Office".
