Ministry of Internal Affairs starts investigation relating to threatening messages against members of national team of Georgia and representatives of Football Federation

The Ministry of Internal Affairs has started an investigation on the basis of information voiced in the news program of one of the media outlets, concerning the messages containing threats against members of the national team of Georgia and representatives of the Football Federation.

"The threatening statements made by a previously convicted person - N.N., is being investigated under Article 151 of the Criminal Code of Georgia", reads the information released by the agency.

Shabati Formula reported that members of the Georgian national team and representatives of the Football Federation received threatening voice messages.

According to the TV company, the author of the threat is Nodar Nishnianidze, who is the brother of football player Vako Kazaishvili's wife and has been in conflict with the Georgian Dream Government for years.
