Gia Volski: I remember personal attacks from specific political leaders, personally from Nika Gvaramia

I remember personal attacks from specific political leaders, personally from Nika Gvaramia, First Vice-Speaker of Parliament Gia Volski thus responded to the statement of the US Under Secretary about the attacks on US Ambassador.

He noted that "difference of opinion on certain issues" with the Ambassador cannot be considered as an attack.

"Nika Gvaramia demanded the expulsion of Kelly Degnan from the state. When there is a difference of opinion on certain issues, including with the representative of your strategic friendly country, this cannot be considered as a personal attack. A more in-depth analysis is required of those arguments, for which we may have an opposite opinion from what the Ambassador states," said Volski.

US Under Secretary for Arms Control and International Security Ambassador Bonnie D. Jenkins, who is paying a visit to Georgia, said that they’ve been dismayed to see personal attacks on Ambassador Degnan and the Embassy.
