Namakhvani remains a strategic project and it will definitely be implemented in some format, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Levan Davitashvili said during his speech at the plenary session of the Parliament in the format of Minister's Hour, in response to the relevant question of the MPs.

According to the Minister, the negotiations with the company Enka, which terminated the contract with the Government, are still ongoing.

"Enka decided to terminate the contract, although we are in dialogue mode with this company. We are having negotiations, talking about different types of changes that can be made to the existing agreement in order to implement this very important strategic project. For us, Namakhvani remains a strategic project and it will definitely be implemented in some format. In the near future, we will have more information after the negotiations," said Levan Davitashvili.
