The official welcoming ceremony of the President of Georgia Salome Zurabishvili was held in the Cotroceni Palace in the capital of Romania.
The President was met by her Romanian counterpart, President Klaus Iohannis.
At the welcoming ceremony, the anthems of Georgia and Romania were played, after which the presidents of both countries greeted the representatives of the delegation.
The President of Georgia will hold a meeting with President Klaus Iohannis, the Prime Minister and the chairmen of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Romanian Parliament. The President of Georgia will also visit the Romanian port city of Constanta.
The official delegation of Georgia includes: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Romania Nikoloz Nikolozishvili, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Teimuraz Janjalia, Member of the Friendship Group with the Parliament of Romania Teona Akubardia, Deputy Director of the Maritime Transport Agency of Georgia Ivane Abashidze, Adviser to the President of Georgia on energy and transit issues of the Caspian and Black Sea regions, Liana Jervalidze.
