Ana Natsvlishvili: I found such a difficult situation in Gelati that it's hard for me to even talk - this is the direct responsibility of Tea Tsulukiani and the paramilitary rule that she introduced in Gelati

Ana Natsvlishvili, one of the leaders of Lelo party, get acquainted with the situation in Gelati Cathedral on the spot.

According to her, the situation has worsened significantly in one year, and the full responsibility for this rests with the Minister of Culture, Tea Tsulukiani.

According to Natsvlishvili, Tea Tsulukiani hides information and does not disclose the real situation. According to her, it is a crime to remain silent on the developments related to the temple, therefore the opposition politician calls on the authorities to respond promptly and states that she will address UNESCO regarding the current situation.

"I found such a difficult situation in Gelati that it's hard for me to even talk. The situation is critically aggravated, it is the direct responsibility of the Minister of Culture, Tea Tsulukiani, and the paramilitary rule he introduced in Gelati. She hides information, does not disclose the conclusion of competent experts, which showed that the work was carried out incorrectly. The frescoes are down, water is still leaking. Because of this hidden information, we are losing a historical monument. This will be the responsibility of Tsulukiani, at the same time, of all deputies who remain silent. A year ago, the culture committee held an external session here, I asked several times if they were following the recommendations they gave, but nothing is being done. It no longer looks like an important place, it looks like a factory full of scaffolding and iron. I will appeal to everyone, first of all I will send a letter to UNESCO," said Ana Natsvlishvili.
