On October 14-15, the Georgian Dream delegation led by the chairman of the party, Irakli Kobakhidze, will participate in the international congress of the Party of European Socialists (PES) in Berlin.
"We are talking to our partners about Georgia's European future, European prospects, processes related to candidate status, and of course we are talking about the role and importance of Germany’s support in this process," said Georgian Dream chairman Irakli Kobakhidze, who is on a working visit to Berlin.
As Irakli Kobakhidze noted, leaders from practically all European countries are represented at the congress, including leaders of the ruling parties and prime ministers.
According to him, members of the Bundestag are well informed about the current process, including the 12 points.
"They have proper information, but we provide much more in-depth information about how this process is going and how we see Georgia getting the candidate status. Leaders from practically all European countries are represented at the congress, including leaders of the ruling parties, prime ministers, and naturally their role is very important both in terms of strengthening Europe in general and highlighting the role of Georgia in the common European family. We will use this platform as much as possible to bring our message and our national interests to our partners as much as possible," said Irakli Kobakhidze.
The Georgian Dream delegation includes Maka Bochorishvili, Chairperson of the Georgian Parliament's European Integration Committee, Irakli Chikovani, Deputy Chairperson of the Georgian Dream faction, and Nino Tsilosani, Chairperson of the women's organization of the Georgian Dream and Chairperson of the Agrarian Affairs Committee and the Parliament’s Standing Council for Gender Equality.
